I am a curious writer who is attracted to the unexplored areas of life.  A Los Angeles native, whose general love of learning coupled with societal standards, led me to study biology at Howard University.  Later, my passion for people and imparting knowledge influenced my decision to become an educator and subsequently earn a Master’s of Arts in Teaching.  I am now freelancing for the Huffington Post and working full time as blogger and photographer of Don.t Throw Away the Crust.  DTAC is a brand dedicated to documenting the compelling stories of the marginalized peoples of the world though editorial, documentary photography and video.
