The Name Project seeks to understand how our names shape our character and the role it plays in our identity.
Some reflect our cultural backgrounds.
Others are indicative of our parents’ values, interest and ideologies.
This week’s Name Project features Phoebe Lovatt, founder of the WW Club. The WW Club is a co-working space and virtual platform, for women who do creative work to collaborate or just share ideas with each other and well...work. Phoebe, whose name means 'radiant' or 'bright' admits that she likes that that's what her name means. Her name has played an important role in not only the woman she aspires to be but the energy of those she's attracted to. "I really respond to people who I feel have a sense of light about them, whether they're energized in some way or lit up from within." With the growing number of creative women who have become apart of the WW Club from Los Angeles to her hometown London, it seems Phoebe has already fulfilled the prophecy of her name and has inspired women worldwide to radiate in their own ways as well.
We all have a name, that subsequently has a story. Here is Phoebe's name story.
